First debuting in the boyband Shinhwa, Lee Minwoo began his solo project in late 2003 under the solo artist name of M. With a sexier image and music that focused more on an R&B style, M has fast become one of Korea's top R&B artists, and has even make the transition into singer/songwriter, writing and producing some of his own songs.

With three solo albums M has enjoyed success in both Korea and Japan, and has also begun his own record company, M RISING. He has even caught the eye of American popstar Christina Aguilera, performing with her in both Korea and Japan.
