Bbaek-ga of Koyote has spoken out for the first time since his brain tumor removal surgery.
On the 26th, the Sports Hankook had an exclusive interview with the singer. He revealed that thanks to his monstrous recovery, he was well enough to remove 7 needles attached to him and walk around by himself. At the moment, he only hopes for no side effects from receiving transplants.

Original Korean idol S.E.S' Shoo is to get married on April 11th.
The groom is basketball player Lim Hyo-sung, and the pair have been publicly dating for a while. Yoon Do-hyun of YB is playing Hedwig in the musical, Hedwig And The Angry Inch.

In previous seasons famous actors such as Cho Seung-woo helped make this a hit in Korea. Performances will be every Friday night at 9:30pm, and a wild late night stage is to be expected. On top of this, on every Saturday there will be three performances, at 3pm, 6pm and 9pm.
The producer, Lee Gina, has expressed her hopes for the star, saying, "I believe Yoon Do-hyun is going to be by far the most comical version compared to other Hedwigs." Furthermore, the singer "learned how horrifying a prejudice can be and looked back" and has become more open minded. He also wanted to give courage to those similar to Hedwig.

Gil of Leessang has revealed the inspiration for their hit song, Champion, through MBC Infinity Challenge on the 23rd.
Champion is the group's 3rd album title song, but there is more than meets the eye. The song is inspired by and made for the late Korean boxing champion, Choi Yo-sam, who passed away in his last round in 2008 due to a trauma. Gil burst into tears explaining how he could have lived if only he had received treatment 30 minutes earlier. Furthermore, he told how difficult boxers' lives are as even the champion had difficulties earning sponsors for matches and for his last round, he used his own money.

Tiger JK is making a special appearance on Korea's popular sitcom, MBC High Kick Through The Roof.
He is to play a friend of one of the characters in the show, Kwang-soo, who is to give advice on hip-hop and singing careers. "JYP Entertainment has announced that Mimi from the Wonder Girls has decided to postpone her musical career to pursue an academic career.
Mimi, the rest of the Wonder Girls members, her family, and JYP Entertainment have collectively decided to postpone her musical career for the time being.
JYP Entertainment said, 'Mimi had a truly memorable, once in a lifetime experience while living in the U.S. and touring over 50 cities. We support her decision to pursue an academic career at this time. We will also support Mimi if she chooses to return to singing after her academics are complete. In the meantime, she plans to frequent JYP facilities and continue her dance and vocal classes.'
Mimi will remain with the Wonder Girls in the U.S., continuing with any scheduled performances and activities until the end of February. As of March, she will return to Korea and prepare to focus on her studies. JYP has named 17 year old Lim as the newest member to the quintet. Lim has gone through extensive training at the JYP Academy for three years and is fluent in four languages: English, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese."

Recently, there have been many rumors regarding Jae-beom of 2PM, which have all been officially denied by JYP Entertainment.
The rumors include:
1. Debut in Hollywood film, Hype Nation. This is a dance movie and the staff have been looking for a fluent English speaking Asian star. Initially they wanted Boa but after her rejection, they turned their attention to Jae-beom.
2. Jae-beom filmed an MV. Unknown sources suggested he filmed an MV most likely for his solo career. This is because leaderless 2PM has been too successful with the 1:59PM album, which made him uncomfortable about returning. Other reporters put forward this argument because the leader's return could be controversial and knock 2PM out from the top. Still others disagreed because last year, JYP himself announced on MBC that everything is up to Jay and if he is to return, it is to 2PM. Furthermore, if Jae-beom is to choose another agency and have a different singing career, that would cause an uncomfortable relationship with JYP, not to mention upsetting the fellow 2PM members.
3. Jae-beom as a panel member on MBC's Come To Play. He is to replace Noh Hong-cheol, a comedian panel soon to leave the show, and make a come back through this show.
4. JYP Entertainment to make an official announcement on the 23rd regarding Jae-beom's return.

Epik High sent clothes and other materials a few days ago and other K-pop artists made public donations. Other artists such as Drunken Tiger, T and YB are looking for a way to help and using their Twitter to get people to donate. Meanwhile Seo Taiji.com is trying to decide between two Haiti organisations to send their money.
Fans are also actively lending a hand. Seo Taiji's fans have always made a donation on his birthday, the 21st of February, to KBS Love Request, but this time they are changing to Unicef to help Haiti.
2PM's fan club, Underground have made a donation under the name of 2PM Jae-beom with a little wish for his return. On top of this, they are also making donations to other charities including children in need.
DBSK's fan site is in the process of collecting money and so far have 1,500,000 won, and this is to continue until the 28th. They have claimed that before they are fans of the star, they are individuals wanting to help those in need. In addition, their contribution is under DBSK's name too.
2PM fans over 20 years old in the fan organisation Underground are waiting for Jae-beom's return, and have made a donation for Haiti under the name of 2PM Jae-beom.
On the 22nd, the manager of Underground announced that they have donated 10,000,000 won to Haiti. This charity was motivated by thoughts of Jae-beom, and fans decided to help those in need while hoping for the leader's return to the group. Min Kyung-hoon of Buzz is breaking a year's silence by making a come back with a new mini album on February 4th.
His agency, IS Entertainment, has announced that he is to return to the stage as the album is released. They also added that he has been lost and worried a lot during the preparation for this album. Although the original release date has been set as last year, the singer wanted to put in more effort and personal input, which delayed the whole process. Furthermore, this is his first album since moving to the current agency.

After Mozart, Hong Gil-Dong's tale (Korean version of Robin Wood) will be adapted into a musical, titled simply “Hong Gil-dong”, starring Yesung and Sungmin (Super Junior) who will alternate in the lead role.
This big production has 50 actors, dancers and singers.
“This is my second musical after ‘Namhansanseong,’ which was also an epic. But I feel relieved because I found something in common between Hong Gil-dong and me. Also, I am practicing martial arts for the musical will have flamboyant action scenes I have never performed before,” said Yesung.

The final line-up for the second season of the popular SBS show Family Outing has been revealed.
In the first season we could see on screen the top comedian and host Yu Jae-suk and singers Lee Hyo-ri and Yoon Jong-shin.
The second season brings another interesting cast, including actor and host Kim Won-hee, actor Yoon Sang-hyun, comedians Ji Sang-ryeol and Shin Bong-sun, Yoo-na from the popular girl band Girls' Generation and Ok Taec-yeon from the boy band 2PM.
Rock band TRAX is back with a new mini-album named Let You Go after almost 3 years since First Rain, released in July 2006.
In the mean time, TRAX united with rookie band Air and formed TRAX+Air. Their song Fate was SBS drama Swallow the Sun's ending theme.
The title-track Let You Go was composed by Jungmo and will be released on January 22nd through music sites like melon and cyworld. The song is about breaking-up and brings a sad melody combined with Jay's emotional vocals.
The mini-album will be available offline on January 25th.

Kara has donated their income from Kara Bakery to a children's welfare facility in Korea.
The girls have been involved in Mnet's Kara Bakery since last year where they became bosses of their own bakery. Through the program, they looked for the building, learned how to bake, and went around trains and celebrity's homes selling cakes. They earned money by selling the cakes themselves in public spaces like on trains, at events and on streets.
Though it is not a lot of money, the girls wanted it to be used for a good cause as it is their first time earning money by themselves.
They have also visited the children's welfare facility themselves, giving them pastries and making special appearances.

Super Junior's KangIn was fined 8 million won after being charged with driving under the influence and hit-and-run.
The accident happened on the morning of October 16th last year. KangIn was drunk and ran into a parked car, after which he got out of his car and fled the scene. Before that, KangIn was also involved in an assault case on September 16th with 2 other people, but the case is still under investigation by the police.
KangIn's activities with Super Junior are currently suspended.
Shinhwa's Lee Minwoo has been discharged from hospital after a 19-day stay.
Lee Minwoo was involved in a car accident on December 24th and was sent to a hospital in Seoul on the 25th. He was discharged on January 13th and is currently resting at home.
Minwoo suffered injuries to his neck, waist, spine and showed signs of a concussion. He had to spend the New Year in the hospital and had to cancel his concert M’s Suite Room, previously scheduled for January 16th and 17th at Ewha Women’s University.
Girl group 2NE1 will perform at Big Bang's Big Show 2010. The concert will take place on January 29th, 30th and 31st at Seoul Olympic Stadium.
According to YG Entertainment, 2NE1 will be performing during all 3 days of the concert. Fans are anticipating whether Big Bang and 2NE1 will finally perform their hit song Lollipop together.
The collaboration between SeeYa, Davichi and T-Ara is back with a new single, Wonder Woman.
This project group was formed last year and consisted of 5 members: SeeYa's Yeon-Ji and Bo-Ram, Davichi's Hae-Ri and Min-Kyung, and T-Ara's Ji-Yeon. This time, the group will have 7 members, with SeeYa's Soo-Mi and T-Ara's Hyo-Min and Eun-Jung, replacing Ji-Yeon.

Shinhwa's Andy reported on January 11th at ChoongNam Nonsan Camp for his 20-month obligatory military service. The singer gave up his American citizenship in 2003 and came back to Korea to continue his career.

Kil Hak-Mi, who was among the last three participants of MBC's Super Star K, the Korean version of American Idol/The X Factor, will debut this month. Even though she lost to Cho Mun-Gun and winner Seo In-Gook, she was able to get a contract with Oscar Entertainment and prepared for her debut.
The female singer will release a digital single, and a spokesperson stated that "the debut song will be in electronic pop style" and Kil Hak-Mi can be seen as the "Korean Lady Gaga".
