Heartsdales was a Japanese urban duo consisting of Rum (vocals and rap) and her older sister Jewels (rap). They started with support from rapper VERBAL of the renowned hip-hop group m-flo, but soon started to produce their own work. They became known in no time with their positive, compelling and catchy music and their own unique sound.

Their music was similar to hip-hop from the west, characterized by a special mix of Japanese and English lyrics, which proved no problem for the women seeing as they lived in New York for 13 years.

The duo disbanded in 2006 after a grandiose career, which included many collaborations with renowned artists, and numerous successful releases under their belts.
