Gyaruru was an all-female popular idol group, characterised by their ties to the ganguro sub-culture, which focused on bringing a more positive view to the gyaru lifestyle. The group’s overall sound also takes heavy influence from the ganguro subculture, most specifically eurobeat.
Although they were founded by popular gal Fujita Shiho, who is professionally known as sifow, their music was produced by Tsunku, who is best known for his association with Morning Musume.
