Frederic

Formed in Kobe by twin brothers Kenji and Koji Mihara, Frederic is a quartet with a quirky rock sound tinged with hints of disco and funk. Addictive, almost hypnotic rhythms and Koji’s humorous lyrics give their music a one-of-a-kind sound that stands out instantly from the competition.

Their catchy songs and powerful live performances won them a special prize in a four-company joint audition “MASH A&R” in 2012. They signed with one of those four companies, major label A-Sketch, in 2014. They made their major debut with the mini-album oddloop that year, and have since become a staple at Japan’s biggest rock festivals.
