Metal band MinstreliX was formed in Osaka in 2004. A year later, vocalist and co-founder Leo Figaro left and was replaced by American ex-chorister Lola. With her, the band recorded two albums, including their 2007 debut Memoirs.... Figaro resumed frontman duties in 2010.
MinstreliX describe their sound as "dramatic metal", which is essentially melodic power metal, punctuated by intricate "neoclassical" solos by guitarist Takao. They've also flirted with gothic and progressive elements since Figaro's return.
Neoclassical power metal band MinstreliX's first album in seven years, featuring a guest appearance by GALNERYUS keyboardist YUHKI, drops on September 29th.
