AOA or Ace Of Angels is a Korean girl group from FNC Entertainment. The group is divided into two: AOA Black which is a band with five members and AOA which is an idol group with seven members. AOA debuted on July 30, 2012 by releasing their debut single Angel’s Story.
The group was promoted via the concept of angels who fell in love with human music. Seven idol members are described as “full angels” while member Youkyoung is a half-human/half-angel, hence the concept of the “7+1” group. Youkyoung can play the drums and appears as the member of a five-member band, but not in the idol group.
