As its title suggests,
GUITARHYTHM VIII is the eighth installment in
HOTEI's long-running album series which began with his post-
BOØWY solo debut in 1988.
GUITARHYTHM VIII will contain twelve songs, featuring collaborations with guitarist
Char and
DENKI GROOVE producer
Takkyu Ishino. Additionally,
THE YELLOW MONKEY frontman
Kazuya Yoshii provided lyrics for one song.
Elsewhere,
HOTEI has soundtracked the forthcoming live-action Netflix adaptation of
Masamichi Kawabe's "Demon City", which will premiere worldwide on February 27th.
