Victor Entertainment will release a new collection of covers of Studio Ghibli film songs on November 19th, featuring the first new studio recording in 8 years by the reunited Kalafina.

Record label Victor Entertainment will release a sequel to the 2023 Studio Ghibli tribute album Ghibli wo utau on November 19th.
Ghibli wo utau sono 2 will contain covers of thirteen songs from various Ghibli films, all produced by Satoshi Takebe, composer of the soundtracks for "From Up on Poppy Hill" and "Earwig and the Witch." The tracklist will be revealed
at a later date.
Ghibli wo utau sono 2 will feature a total of 18 acts and artists, including the first new studio recording by Kalafina since 2017. Other groups include rock duo GLIM SPANKY, Penthouse, and jazz band SOIL & "PIMP" SESSIONS in a collaboration with singer and actress NON.
AiNA THE END, Da-iCE vocalists Yudai Ohno and Sota Hanamura, Nogizaka46 idols
Aya Ogawa and Iroha Okuda, Sakurako Ohara, Win Morisaki, Rokudenashi's Ninjin, actress Hiroko Yakushimaru, and violinist Taro Hakase round out the list of newcomers.
Momoiro Clover Z member Shiori Tamai and Quruli frontman Shigeru Kishida, both of whom sang solo on Ghibli wo utau, return for a duet. Like the previous album, Ghibli wo utau sono 2's cover artwork was drawn
by "From Up on Poppy Hill" and "Tales of Earthsea" director Goro Miyazaki.
