Jang Nara is a pop and ballad singer who is well known for her work not only in Korea, but also in China. She is recognised as one of the most successful singers in Korea, as her first two albums both went on to sell over 200,000 copies and, whilst her sales have dropped due to the slump in the Korean music industry, she still continues to be popular.
She confirmed her place in Korean music history in 2007 when she was the first Korean solo artist to perform in Beijing.
