T-ara will do well in Japan. They have undeniable cuteness in abundance and enough talent to earn the success. In fact, absolute precision in their dance routines and their impeccable stage presence make it clear that they have worked hard and spent many hours in rehearsal for this Japanese debut. Of course, they seem to have spent many more hours at language study as well and the results showed as they introduced themselves and answered questions in impressive Japanese despite cute faults in their pronunciation.

For their first performance in Japan, T-ara managed to sell almost seven times the tickets they had originally prepared. Even the press numbered over three hundred, forcing them to hold a press conference and special performance prior to the concert itself in order to seat as many fans as possible for the main event.

Performing five of their best hits including their Japanese debut song, Bo Peep Bo Peep, the girls took to the stage in silky red outfits and chunky vinyl red heels. Both sexy and charming, they had the male-based journalistic crowd wrapped around their dainty pinkies. In fact, Little Bo Peep apparently has no sheep in Korea. Instead, she has a troop of seven adorable cat-girls who stopped the photo shoot to give away their big fluffy paws to a few lucky cameramen (who had been waiting for a long time in the heat to set up in a choice spot for the shoot.) It’s no mystery that the Bo Peep Bo Peep “Neko dance” is so popular in Korea with its sweet cat-paw motions, and it’s fairly safe to say that the dance will soon be seen all over Japanese school rooms and maybe in the odd office or two during coffee breaks.

Discussing the Japanese recording of Bo Peep Bo Peep, the general consensus of the girls was that it was difficult but a fun and interesting experience, although main vocal, Soyeon admitted that she had caught a cold which caused her some frustration. Then, when asked about their various ‘charm points’ or assets, the girls varied between shy and confident responses Eunjung unhesitatingly exclaimed that her charm is in her smile and gorgeous style. While Soyeon modestly believes that her best asset is her friendly personality. However, leader Hyomin’s earlier self-introduction slated her as a “Superhero who can do anything!”

Thoroughly excited and overflowing with positive nervous tension, T-ara bid farewell to the press in order to prepare for their Japanese debut.
