The performance took place on the smaller stage situated in front of the AMC IMAX movie theater, next to the Hard Rock Café, and with a giant TV screen located just above the stage. BoA posters decorated the stage and music videos for Eat You Up and I Did It for Love played silently on the screen while her full US album was playing. Two hours before the performance was even due to start hundreds of people had gathered around the stage and were waiting for the popstar to come on. Every twenty minutes the famous radio personality Jojo from KIIS 102.7FM, whom sponsored BoA's appearance at City Walk, would talk about BoA to hype up the crowd even more.

As advertised, the first 125 fans that got to the stage recieved a free poster and a green wristband that gave them clearance to meet BoA and get an autograph after the performance. As an extra surprise for the first 125 fans, a special pit area was blocked off in front of the stage, and only those with the green wristband were able to enter this area.

At exactly 6:30pm Jojo came on stage to introduce BoA and promote BoA's US release. Meanwhile, at the back right of the stage, the backup dancers practiced their dance routine one last time and drew the attention of the crowd. Jojo also mentioned that BoA had donated some of her memorabilia to the Hard Rock Café for display, and had she had sold 20 million albums worldwide in her career. Finally he announced the popstar and the crowd went crazy, most of them taking out any kind of cameras they had, waving their posters in the air and calling out BoA's name.

BoA immediately came running out on stage, with her four backup dancers following behind her. The music for Eat You Up began and BoA started to sing and dance. The choreography appeared to be more like the choreography used in the Korean version of the Eat You Up music video. Shortly after the song began the TV screen began showing the performance from various angles, and even the fans at one point. At the end of the song, BoA said a few things in English to her fans - "How are you doing? Good? Everyone having fun? Thank you for coming here today at City Walk!" Her English was very good, but she seemed incredibly nervous and stuttered a little in some parts.

After her short speech, BoA went straight into I Did It For Love, the title track for her new album. The choreography for this song ended up being very similar to how it was in the music video, even though the stage could barely fit BoA and her four backup dancers. It was impressive to see the dance being done successfully on such a tiny stage.

The performance drew to a close, but the audience stood waiting for more. It was hard to believe that that was it for BoA's performance at City Walk, but unfortunately it was. Jojo came back onto the stage and announced the autograph session for the green wristband holders, explaining where to go. Some fans stayed at the stage as there were some free items that were being passed out such as posters, and even a few extra green wristbands. But the rest walked off, talking excitedly about the performance and about seeing BoA in person.

The next day, BoA was scheduled to make an appearance at the Forever21 in Pasadena to sign autographs. Some fans had waited the entire day, arriving at the venue from as early as 5am to line up. When 3pm came around, the time the event was scheduled to start, there was a line so long that it wrapped around a few blocks near the store. Fans were eagerly waiting for BoA to show up; however they were slightly disappointed as she came half an hour late.

The venue, one of the biggest Forever21 stores in California, was packed with fans, shoppers and reporters trying to get a closer look at the star. The autograph table was situated at the front of the store, with barriers and security guards to block fans from trying to get too close. Directly outside of the store was a massive crowd, many of who were trying to take pictures of BoA giving autographs.

Many things were being done to help promote BoA in the US. At the back of the autograph line was the local news station KBA covering the event and interviewing fans. One of the front rooms of the store had a table set up dedicated to BoA's sponsor 102.7 KIIS FM and Forever21 gave shoppers who came during the event 10% off, which a lot of fans took advantage of.

Throughout the event, BoA herself was still looking cheerful yet a bit tired towards the end. Even though there was a late start the event only went a few minutes past the originally scheduled time. A lot of fans were extremely excited to meet her and get an autograph, but there were many more disappointed fans who did not get a chance to see the star or recieve an autograph due to the limited time of the event. To get through all of the fans that came, BoA would have needed many more hours than she was there for. Even so, such a large turn out only served to prove just how successful the start of BoA's reign in the US was.
