SM Entertainment's 9 member girlgroup So Nyuh Shi Dae debuted in 2007 with the single Into The New World. Releasing their first album So Nyuh Shi Dae later that same year, and a repackaged edition of the same album early the next, it wasn't until the beginning of 2009 that So Nyuh Shi Dae made their comeback.

The 1st Mini Album Gee contained five songs, starting witth the hit song Gee which caused a wave of dance mania that hadn't been seen since the Wonder Girls' Tell Me. There is little need to explain the popularity of the song. Gee was one of the biggest hits during the start of 2009, with it's cute melody and repetitive but very catchy chorus, and the 'crab-leg' dance that had everyone in South Korea and their mother singing and dancing.

The song is light and happy, with the nine members singing in cute voices that don't go too over the top. The whole song is catchy, and when the "Gee, gee gee"s start all you'll want to do is get up and dance.

The second track of the mini-album, Himnae! (Way To Go) has a slight rock flavour to it. Fast paced and heavy, the song is good and the music appealing, but the vocals are somewhat nasal. After the first chorus you might find yourself wanting to change songs.

Dear Mom can be considered a gem amongst the five tracks. It's a soft ballad that perfectly shows the quality of the girls' voices. The climax is Taeyeon's soothing solo, and for such a small woman her voice is powerful and unique. A relaxing track that is filled with emotion, Dear Mom stands out on the mini-album, and is the only ballad.

Destiny brings a mature sound and feel to the album, and is very different from the other tracks. The intro is somewhat R&B, but the chorus steers towards another direction. What makes this track so refreshing is that it's not the sugary, "nice-girl" pop that So Nyuh Shi Dae are known for, and yet it still keeps an innocent sound to it, and doesn't push any boundaries.

Lastly, Himdeureohaneun Yeonindeureul Wihae (Let's talk about LOVE) is a blast from the past, with a melody reminiscent of 90s pop. It's a good song, but nothing that really stands out, and with a melody that's nothing new all this track has to really offer is are some nice vocals.

So Nyuh Shi Dae had a winning streak on various Korean music charts with this mini-album and Gee, reigning over tough competitors Jewelry and the Wonder Girls. It was one of the strongest comebacks of the year, and leaves listeners expecting many more catchy hits from the girls in the future.
