After they won awards for being Best New Artist in Korea and the release of their first Korean album, Tohoshinki(DBSK) expanded their activities to Japan, starting with their debut single Stay with me tonight. At this time many hoped but didn't expect that these 5 Korean boys would be that successful. But now, they have performed in 3 consecutive years at Japans biggest Pop Festival the A-Nation, a Japanese fanclub called Big East was founded and their Japanese has improved so much that they are able to broadcast their own Radioshow and appear on famous TV shows.

All this started with this single, Stay with me Tonight.

As usual, the single was released in two versions.

The CD comes with 4 songs, Stay with me Tonight and Try my Love plus the corresponding instrumentals, while the CD+DVD Version also includes the music video for Stay with me Tonight.

The first song Stay with me Tonight starts off with a nice harmonization by the 5 members of DBSK that introduces them, before it turns into a light, up-beat pop song. This intro proves that they don't have the title acappella band for no reason but also with the rest of the song they show their professional vocals. From the beginning, the catchy melody of the song finds its way right into the listener's ear. In the last third, Yunho even gets the chance to shortly show off his rapping. Also, the lyrics are easy to memorize, even for non Japanese speaking people, as they're really modest and the English chorus is easy to remember.

Try My Love seems more mature than the first song. Trumpets and a jazzy guitar slow down the velocity of the previous song and change the atmosphere completely. A romantic, smooth and relaxed ambience is created and the image of a smoky club with jazz musicians appears in the hearers mind while listening to the lithely vocals of the 5 members. Again the Japanese lyrics are mixed with English passages that emphasize the whole atmosphere of this song and make it easier to understand the lyrics.

With those two completely different songs, DBSK had a good start that already showed the great things that were going to come in the future.
