Boy band Shinhwa member Eric was discharged from the military over the weekend, fulfilling the two-year duty required of all Korean men.
The 31-year-old rapper of the group had served as a public service worker at a military station in Seoul since October 2008. About 400 fans from several countries including Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand and Canada showed up to congratulate the pop star for fulfilling his military duties.
Eric is set to appear in an upcoming drama tentatively titled Poseidon, also starring Kim Kang-woo. Poseidon will be Korea's first TV series on coast guards.
