SeeYa to disband after five years

Vocal girl group SeeYa, who have been together for five years, will soon disband.

Core Contents recently announced in a press release that the girl group will no longer remain a group after unveiling their farewell album titled Good Bye My Friend on January 11, which will feature their greatest hits as well as two new songs recorded with former leader Nam Gyu-ri.

"The members of SeeYa have told me that they want to go their own ways," Kim Kwang Soo, the CEO of Core Contents Media, was quoted as saying, adding that they will fully support them on their future endeavors.

The trio made their debut with members Nam Gyu-ri, Kim Yeon-ji and Lee Boram in 2006 with their first album The First Mind and have produced several popular hit songs such as A Woman's Scent and Shoes. After Nam Gyu-ri's departure in 2009, new member Soo-mi was added to the group but left soon after.
