K-pop Boom Pioneer Ryu to Release DVD

On the 7th of September, forerunner of the K-pop-boom artist Ryu will be releasing a DVD for the first time in over four years.

Ryu’s music has been recognized especially for his contribution to the original soundtrack for the popular Korean drama “Winter Sonata”. “Winter Sonata” is the second part of an installment of four drama series called “Endless Love”. The drama’s enormous popularity contributed largely to the Korean Wave in Japan as well as throughout the rest of Asia. The “Winter Sonata” soundtrack mainly features Ryu’s music, including the theme song From the Beginning to End and the song My Memory amongst others.

Ryu will finally be back with a live DVD entitled Ryu JAZZ Ryu Live Selection. The DVD will contain covers as well as original songs by Ryu, which have been arranged in jazz style and performed live. This special performance and Ryu’s unique vocals make this DVD a must-have for all of his fans. Moreover, the DVD will also contain his famous songs From the Beginning to End, My Memoryand Violet.

Anyone who would like to see Ryu perform live in person will have a chance to attend one of his upcoming concerts in Japan. Ryu will embark on a Japanese tour from September until November, visiting eight different cities. His Japanese tour will be preceded by seven concerts to be held in Meguro, entitled Ryu 7days LIVE meguro♥i from August 20 to 26 . Starting September 11th Ryu will kick off his Japanese tour Taisetsu, which will end with special concert versions in Tokyo and Osaka to be held on the 4th and the 12th of November respectively.
