As we have previously mentioned, the popular SM girl band Girls’ Generation (SNSD) is planning to release their highly anticipated Korean album The Boys. While the launch was previously set for the beginning of October, it has been postponed – the 12 track album will now be released on October 19th. The album will be released simultaneously globally via iTunes.

Good news for American fans of the charming nine members - Girls’ Generation (SNSD) have signed a contract with Universal Music Group, the same label as Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas and Eminem, in the USA and are going to release their maxi-single The Boys under label Interscope. The US release is planned for November.

The music video for The Boys will be revealed on October 19th on SM’s YouTube channel and Facebook, making October 19th 2011 "Girls' Generation Day (SNSD Day)."
