This year, several Korean artists were recognised at the Best Hit Pop Song Festival in Japan. The event, which recognises the most popular artists and songs in Japan based on requests, record sales and karaoke rankings, saw BoA and DBSK winning awards.
For BoA, this is the sixth consecutive time that she has received awards at this event but DBSK won an award for the first time this year. Both artists received the Gold Artist award for top record sales at the ceremony which was aired on Monday.
