T-ara to lose a member.
Following an incident at the Budokan, where T-ara performed on the 28th and 29th of July, Kim Kwang Soon, CEO of Core Contents Media, announced on the 30th that Hwayoung will no longer be a part of the girl group T-ara.
Even though initially all of the performances would continue according to schedule, the commotion concerning the sudden departure of Hwayoung caused their schedule to be altered. T-ara was planning on performing with the remaining seven members, but recently announced they have cancelled all their activities, likely until their next comeback in August.
T-ara is facing a lot of criticism as a result of the recent occurrences. Due to the dissatisfaction amongst fans concerning the ambiguous reasons behind Hwayoung’s departure, fanclubs are facing a strong decline in members. T-ara’s biggest fanclub has also recently announced it will shut down mid-August. Furthermore several companies the girls endorse already announced their wish to alter or terminate their contracts with T-ara in the near future.
