The singer has signed a contract with UNIVERSAL REPUBLIC RECORDS for his worldwide activities, excluding Korea and Japan. Their subsidiary label Schoolboy Records will be in charge of PSY's management. The label is also responsible of many other global stars such as Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj. The contract signals an attempt to break into the global market.
PSY will also be attending the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards on September 6th at the Staples Center, Los Angeles. PSY made his name known worldwide with the music video for Gangnam Style, which has been viewed on Youtube well over 100 million times.
