Makoto Furukawa, a voice actor known for various video game and anime roles such as Ronaldo in "The Vampire Dies in No Time" and Sherlock Holmes in "Moriarty the Patriot", will release a new single on February 16th.
The single's title track, Ware, bara ni insu, is the opening theme of the currently running anime "Requiem of the Rose King". The series is said to be a dark fantasy based on a manga by Aya Kanno that is in turn based on Shakespeare’s
plays "Henry VI" and "Richard III".
The song's lyrics were written by Arika Takarano of ALI PROJECT, while the music was composed by Takuya Sakai of Arte Refact.
The single will be released in two CD-only editions featuring four tracks each. These will include the title song, an exclusive coupling song, and instrumental versions of both tracks. The coupling song for the artist edition, first light, features lyrics
written by Furukawa himself and music by Yuki Honda of Arte Refact, while the anime edition's coupling track Hikari no kairo features lyrics from singer-songwriter Saori Kodama and music from Takuya Sakai instead.
Makoto Furukawa debuted as a singer with the single miserable masquerade, which was released on the anisong label Lantis in 2018. His first album from fairytale was released on December 23rd, 2020, and he held his first online concert
at Kinema Club in Tokyo in April 2021.
