New Cover Album from ToshI

X JAPAN frontman ToshI will release a new cover album on September 28th.

As its title suggests, IM A SINGER VOL.3 is the third installment in ToshI's series of cover albums that began in 2018. Unlike its predecessors, it will feature a new original song, Hazakura, written by the singer himself.

In another first for the series, IM A SINGER VOL.3 features a duet: veteran musical actor Kanji Ishimaru will join ToshI on Bijo to yaju (Beauty & The Beast). Into the Unknown ~ Kokoro no mama ni from "Frozen 2" and Speechless ~ Kokoro no koe from the live-action "Aladdin" continue the Disney theme.

Whereas ToshI will perform those three songs with Japanese lyrics, he'll sing Irish vocal group Celtic Woman's ballad You Raise Me Up in the original English, accompanied by a gospel choir.

The other covers currently confirmed to be on the album are of Namie Amuro's Hero, Ayaka's Mikazuki, Mariko Takahashi's Momoiro toiki, Akina Nakamori's Nanpasen, and pop-rock band Superfly's Tamashii Revolution.
