Singer-songwriter
Ringo Sheena will release a new single on May 24th.
Watashi wa neko no me has been produced in honour of the 25th anniversary of the
Tokyo Jihen frontwoman’s solo career.
The title track features guest appearances by
NUMBER GIRL guitarist
Hisako Tabuchi, who played with
Sheena in the ephemeral band
Hatsuiku Status in 2000, and ex-Roletta Secohan drummer
Rino Tokitsu, who was a bandmate of
Sheena's during their high school days together in Fukuoka.
New York-based keyboardist
BIGYUKI plays on both
Watashi wa neko no me and the single’s B-side
Saraba junjou.
On the same day, all six of
Sheena's studio albums —
Muzai Moratorium,
Shouso Strip,
Kalk samen kuri no hana,
Sanmon Gossip,
Hi izuru tokoro and
Sandokushi — will be reissued as double-disc vinyl LPs, along with her recent remix album
Hyakuyaku no chou.
Elsewhere, as previously reported,
Sheena and
King Gnu frontman
Daiki Tsuneta's solo project
millennium parade will release the double A-side collaboration single
W●RK / 2〇45 on May 17th.
The music videos for
W●RK and
Flight JL005 - B747-246 Mix (a remix by DJ
