The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Entertainment Producers' Association have announced plans to set up a hall of fame to celebrate some of the country's most accomplished entertainers. It would be similar to the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and looks set to start in 2012. While the first entrants have not yet been properly discussed, the announcement of the hall of fame has lead to rumours of well established artists such as Patty Kim, Cho Yong-pil and Lee Mi-ja being among the first to be celebrated.
