YG Entertainment's girl group 2NE1, who had a brief taste of the top with the success of Lollipop, featuring labelmates Big Bang, will release their debut single on May 6th, available for download through Korean digital music stores. The song will be called Fire, and is written by 1TYM's Teddy. The MV will be released on the same day, and a re-cut version of the MV a few days later. The group will then make their debut performance on SBS Inkigayo on May 17th.
There are plans for 2NE1 to release a mini album later in the year.
