G-Dragon & 2NE1 songs on trial

YG Entertainments' artists are accused of copying songs.

South Korea's publishing company, Sony ATV are taking a legal action against 4 songs published from YG Entertainment.

Sony ATV argues that especially G-Dragon's 'Heart breaker' and 'Butterfly', Big Bang's 'With U' and 2NE1's 'I don't care' with Lionel Richie's 'Just Go'. After consulting this with music specialists the verdict is that the songs' BPM, some cord parts, base line and few other bits are similar to the original songs.

Therefore taking this into a legal action, Sony ATV issued warnings to YG Entertainment and composers involved. Currently they are waiting for replies.

Making matters worse, 'Magazine 2580' revealed that G-Dragons' 2 controversial songs have been issued with warnings from the original songs' license companies.

However, despite all the controversial issues, G-Dragon has managed to stay as Number 1 on the chart list of SBS' 'Inki gayo' music program.
