DJ Tukutz of Epik High Announces Big News

DJ Tukutz of Epik High has announced 2 big news on Map The Soul blog.

His announcement involves the entire band as their official activity is going to be on hold for a while.
He is joining the Korean army, compulsory for Korean men, on 15th October.
The other is that he has found his other half and they are to wed soon.

Hello, everyone.
This is Epik High's Tukutz.
The Indie label, Map The Soul's Kim Jung-Sik (his Korean name).

Are you guys enjoying the [e] album?

Since the release of the album, the most frequent question has been
'Why all the sudden have you released such a massive album?'

My answer is..
I wanted to do something for the fans who have always been supportive of us.

Unfortunately it is unlikely that we are going to be releasing another official album anytime soon.

I am writing to announce 2 news. It is the first time writing on a serious note which makes me slightly nervous.

I, Tukutz, Jung-sik is joining the Korean army on 15th October. Despite my desire to make more fun memories with the album we tried so hard to make.. time is not allowing me to do so.

Apologis for not having announced this sooner. The rest of members and close relations knew about this but I told them to keep it low.

It is just that I did not want to greet the fans whom I have not been with for a while with a good bye.

The rest of members despite their individual busy schedules knew I wanted to make a brilliant album before leaving and therefore went through all nighters to create the album we have today. I am sure you guys understand this.

Further more, before the army I have the best event in my life that is finally I am marrying my first love of ten years. The phrase we have promised each other, 'Stand by me' is finally coming true.

You might think this is selfish but I am making a promise with the love of my life before leaving. I, Kim Jung-sik is getting married!

Both of us have decided on this after a lot of thought and we will be grateful to receive your blessings! (We are going to think about children after my return from the army ^^)

The rest of members promised to look after my family during my absence and to have a better future in 2 years time (Korean army lasts almost 2 years), I can leave with relief.

To be honest, having a long absence from Map The Soul, I am worried for the participating artists and staff. Plus I am sorry for not having done much for them,

but my brothers, Tablo, Mithra and Jin-wook promised to act on my behalf as well so MYK, Planet Shiver, Dok2 and all the staff... don't worry!

Dear fans. You guys must have waited a long time for this official album so I apologise for having been around for a short time. I wanted to give you more songs but there has not been much opportunities.

Although thank you very much for all the support. I am happy to leave you guys with a big laugh as he second title song's music video is going to released soon!

The title song's performance has been short but the members want the World to hear out my song, the second title song...

Thank you for thinking of me always. Whilst I am away, go sky high and let's remain as who we are forever!

To the people who love our songs, I want to promise this.

With my return, there will be greater music.

Don't forget Epik High and please look after the lot on my behalf. ^^
