Shinhwa's Shin Hye-sung has recently admitted and apologised for gambling. Along with this official announcement, he has agreed to pay the penalty fare of 10,000,000 won.

On the 16th, through the singer's agency home page, a staff have posted an apology note under the title of 'I apologise to everyone'. The main message is as following: 'Firstly, I apologise to those who have been shocked by this news earlier today. Especially the fans who have been supporting Shin Hye-sung for 11 continuos years. We are truly sorry and embarrassed. Just like the information given on the articles, in 2007, during the holiday to Macao, the singer and friends entered a casino. Everything began with a curiosity which unfortunately has not ended there but continued several more times. Once his friends and family found out about this, the singer has been punished by them and have been behaving himself for 2 years now. Ever since the April of 2008, he has kept his promise and stayed away from gambling. Please do not let this incident change your view on his passion for music for 11 years running. The singer has been more harsh and strict on himself than anyone else's punishments. We apologise once more and hope to make a come back later with more mature Shin Hye-sung'.

The singer has been taken into custody due to gambling starting from July of 2007 up to April of 2008 at a casino in Macao hotel with a huge sum of money.
