Hip-hop group Epik High and girlband f(x) will perform at a musical event in Cannes, according to Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA).
The groups will perform at MIDEM 2010 as representatives of Korean pop music. MIDEM, Marche International du Disque et de l'Edition Musicale, is the world's biggest music fair, with the presence of labels and distributors from various countries. This year, more than 4,000 companies from 80 countries are planning to attend the event.
KOCCA announced that the festival will be an opportunity to promote Korean pop music for European and American markets, and they’ll do a promotional campaign with the slogan "Enjoy K-pop".
"Through this event we hope to promote the diversity and potential of Korean pop music", said the president of KOCCA, Mr. Lee Jae Woong. "We will do everything to help Korean artists to enter Europe and The USA market.”
MIDEM 2010 will take place between January 24 and 27 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres in Cannes, France.
