8eight's Baek-chan Returns after his Father's Funeral

8eight's Baek-chan's father has passed away on 16th after long time battle with gastric cancer.

This sad news has become even more tragic as on the day, 8eight won the Top 10 Award in the 2009 Melon Music Award. The singer received the news of his father's critical condition just before coming on stage to receive the award. Afterwards he returned thanks to his father as he said 'My father is fighting for his life as we speak. I wish I told him about the award earlier.. I give this award to him'.

The singer went home for the Korea's traditional three days funeral and returned to Seoul on 21st to practice for the end of year concert.

8eight's first end of year concert is to be held at the large hall in Daegu's Citizen Center on 31st December.
