JaME’s Anime Theme Playlists #1 & 2

It’s no secret that anime is one of the main ways that fans overseas are introduced to Japanese music. While anime themes can range from bubblegum pop to heavy rock and metal sounds, when the songs are tied to characters and stories you love, it’s easy to approach genres and artists you may not normally give a chance with an open mind. The right anime tie-up song can also lead to a huge break for relatively unknown artists in their home country.

So, to celebrate all the great music that anime has exposed fans to over the years, members of our team have picked out some of their favourite songs that have been used as opening and ending themes. They've selected some nostalgic numbers, as well as some more recent tracks that caught their attention.

However, because there were so many good songs to choose from and more are constantly being released, we've decided to split them up. You can find the first two playlists below:
